Universal Design for Learning

Universal Design for Learning is a model for teaching that engages the learner and personalizes the learning experience for optimization.

  • Teachers, using this model, present information in multiple ways so that all learners have an opportunity to gain from the lessons.

  • They provide motivation by optimizing interest in the subject while minimizing frustration that the learner might experience.

  • They also allow students to express their learning in multiple ways and use multiple methods of assessment.
